Proactive Cost Management Model for Building Projects

Aim: Scholars are persistent in calling for proactive management of construction characteristics. Lack a feasible model continues to daunt the cost objective sector. A framework was developed guide this process developing one. This research complements recommendation aimed at building projects. 
 Study Design: set prototyped residential design obtained and bill quantities prepared. Historical data collated through secondary sources ten years used generate unit rates elemental history design. The prototype estimated forty times yearly incremental or growth rate each element computed.
 Area: Relevant Nigeria. Cost extracted from market reports Nigerian Institute Quantity Surveyor’s quarterly publications.
 Methodology: is underpinned on three constructs that, with best practice, proper knowledge predictions can be attained. Geometric mean compute mathematical forecasting using principle developed. Best Practice Modules Lessons Learned Mechanism subsystems were also created.
 Results: synthesised into desired predicts likelihood flawed activity culpability associated stakeholder. forecast true elements various milestone possible contingency plan. There’s no significant difference between estimates values generated by model, strength linear relationship strong 0.929571.
 Conclusion: tool stakeholders’ management. Stakeholders contracts use inception finish. Project better managed efficacy assured.
